About the Tour

 

Best time: December to July

 

This tour is the best combination of Tanzania and Kenya. It brings you closer to nature as you trek through a handful of exclusive parks enjoying the best there is to offer from each of these parks.

 

Day 1: Arrival

 

You will be met at Nairobi International airport and take to a Hotel in Nairobi for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Meals: Lunch, and dinner

 

Day 2: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

 

After breakfast, at 8:00, you will be picked up from your hotel and be taken to Amboseli National Park.
Lunch will be served at the lodge and afterward, you will enjoy a late afternoon game drive through the park. The Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most exclusive parks, Lying in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro the scenery of the park varies between five different habitats from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli,  to the wetlands with sulfur springs, the savannah and the woodlands in the east. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust” and this area offers you the opportunity to visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.
You will spend the night in Amboseli.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park to Arusha

 

Enjoy an early start, at 6:30, with a spectacular morning game drive through the park.
Breakfast will be enjoyed at the lodge followed by some poolside downtime. Lunch will be served at the lodge, after which you will travel to Arusha via the Namanga border. You will spend the night In a hotel in Arusha.

Day 4: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

 

After breakfast, at 8:30 am, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to Tarangire National Park, where you will enjoy a lovely game drive through the park. The Park runs along the line of the Tarangire River, after which it is named, the landscape is dotted with low lying hills and a huge swamp area in the south. The Park boasts some of the largest elephant herds in Africa.
After a picnic lunch and a further drive in the park, in the late afternoon, you will proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Tarangire National Park to Ngorongoro.

 

You will start the day at 6:30 am, with a game drive through the park glimpsing the world as it starts to rise. After breakfast at the lodge, you will drive through to the Ngorongoro conservation area where you will enjoy a picnic lunch as you look down into the vast and mighty landscape from the crater rim.
You will spend the evening at Ngorongoro.

 

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater to the Serengeti National Park

 

At 7:30 After breakfast, you will descend into the Crater, where you will enjoy the vast and exotic landscape first hand. You will have lunch at either the Leria forest or the Hippo pools.
At 14:00 you will ascend from the crater and make your way to the Serengeti National Park where you will spend the evening.

Day 7: The Serengeti

 

You will embark on an early morning game drive, at 6:30, followed by breakfast, at 9:30.
The rest of the day will be spent out on the vast plains of the Serengeti. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s Largest National park and covers nearly 6,000 square miles, which consists of grassland plains, Savannah, kopjes, hills, woodlands, and rivers lined forests.

Day 8: The Serengeti National Park – North

 

The day will start off with an early morning game drive at 6:30. You will enjoy breakfast at 9:30 followed by some relaxation time at the lodge. After 14:00 you will enjoy a lovely sunset game drive through the park. The Grumeti, Mbalageti, and Mara river systems serve as a critical source of water in the Serengeti, attracting all the wildlife in the area. Beyond the heralded migration of wildebeest and zebra, the Serengeti is best known for its big predators as well as the big five. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 9: The Serengeti

 

The Serengeti is known as the lands without end and for good reason, it is a vast and rolling landscape that stretches as far as the eye can see. After breakfast, you will travel to the Seronera area, so named for the Seeonera river that flows through the area.
The River acts as a valuable water source in the area attracting an abundance of wildlife and providing a great game viewing opportunity. After lunch on the plains, you travel back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: The Serengeti National Park to Masai Mara, Kenya

 

After breakfast, at 8:00, you will leave the Serengeti and make your way through to Kenya Via the Isebania border. Situated in the southwest of Kenya, you will find the Masai Mara National Reserve, which is a land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. You will enjoy an evening game drive through the park and then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Masai Mara.

 

Most animals are busiest in the early mornings when the weather is a bit cooler. You will enjoy a game drive through the park in the early morning followed by breakfast at 9:30 at the lodge.
After lunch, you will venture out on a game drive into the late afternoon. The reserve has an abundance of wildlife including, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion and cheetah alongside the migratory wildebeest and zebra. Leopards are frequently seen, endangered black rhino hide in the dense thickets and large rafts of hippo and enormous crocodiles are found alongside the Mara River banks. In the early evening, you will return to the Lodge for your evening stay.

Day 12: Masai Mara Nature Reserve to Nairobi

 

After breakfast and checkout, you will travel to Nairobi.
Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya. The name comes from the Maasai phrase Enkare Nairobi, which translates to “cool water”,  in reference to the river which flows through the city. Nairobi like many cities has its charms some of which include a vibrant cultural life, fabulous places to eat and an exciting nightlife. You will spend the day in Nairobi and in the late afternoon, you will be taken to the airport for your flight home.
