About the Tour

Spanning a large area of Tanzania, you can expect to be immersed in wildlife from Tarangire to Ngorongoro. Expect to see some of the most amazing landscapes on earth filled with a diversity of plants and animals like nowhere else on earth.

 

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

 

Day 1: Arrival

 

You will be met at Nairobi International airport and take to a Hotel in Nairobi for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Meals: Lunch, and dinner

 

 Day 2: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

 

After breakfast, at 8:00, you will be picked up from your hotel and be taken to Amboseli National Park.
Lunch will be served at the lodge and afterward, you will enjoy a late afternoon game drive through the park. The Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most exclusive parks, Lying in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro the scenery of the park varies between five different habitats from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli,  to the wetlands with sulfur springs, the savannah and the woodlands in the east. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust” and this area offers you the opportunity to visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.
You will spend the night in Amboseli.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park to Tarangire National Park

 

With an early start to the day, at 6:30, you will enjoy a game drive through the park. After breakfast, at 9:30 am, you will travel to Tarangire National Park, where you will spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoy the facilities. The Park runs along the line of the Tarangire River, after which it is named, the landscape is dotted with low lying hills and a huge swamp area in the south. The Park boasts some of the largest elephant herds in Africa.

Day 4 Tarangire National Park to Lake Manyara National Park.

 

After breakfast, at 7:30, you will travel to Lake Manyara National Park. This Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive lake at the foot of the Great Rift Valley. The Park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including the famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos. Once you arrive in the park you will enjoy a late afternoon game drive, and then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park to Ngorongoro. 

 

At 7:30, after breakfast, you will leave the lodge and travel to the Ngorongoro conservation area.
You will enjoy an afternoon game drive coupled with a cultural tour at Mto wa Mbu Village from around 14:00. The Village is considered an agricultural hub, the town is famous for its crops of rice and the distinctive red bananas that Tanzania is known for. The tour will give you an opportunity to interact with local farmers, as well as artisans, craftsmen, and painters. Afterward, you will travel to Karatu Town where you will spend the night.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater to the Serengeti National Park

 

After breakfast, at 7:30, you will descend into the garden of Eden where you will enjoy a lush scenery filled with unexpected surprises and a diversity of wildlife only found in the crater. You will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor near the hippo pools where the viewing opportunity is spectacular.
At 14:00 you will ascend the crater and make your way to the Serengeti National Park where you will spend the night.

 

Day 7: The Serengeti

 

You will embark on an early morning game drive, at 6:30, followed by breakfast, at 9:30.
The rest of the day will be spent out on the vast plains of the Serengeti. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s Largest National park and covers nearly 6,000 square miles, which consists of grassland plains, Savannah, kopjes, hills, woodlands, and river lined forests.

Day 8: The Serengeti National Park – North

 

The day will start off with an early morning game drive at 6:30. You will enjoy breakfast at 9:30 followed by some relaxation time at the lodge. After 14:00 you will enjoy a lovely sunset game drive through the park. The Grumeti, Mbalageti, and Mara river systems serve as a critical source of water in the Serengeti, attracting all the wildlife in the area. Beyond the heralded migration of wildebeest and zebra, the Serengeti is best known for its big predators as well as the big five. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 9: The Serengeti

 

The Serengeti is known as the lands without end and for good reason, it is a vast and rolling landscape that stretches as far as the eye can see. After breakfast, you will travel to the Seronera area, so named for the Seonera river that flows through the area.
The River acts as a valuable water source in the area attracting an abundance of wildlife and providing a great game viewing opportunity. After lunch on the plains, you travel back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: The Serengeti National Park to Masai Mara, Kenya

 

After breakfast, at 8:00, you will leave the Serengeti and make your way through to Kenya Via the Isebania border. Situated in the southwest of Kenya, you will find the Masai Mara National Reserve, which is a land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. You will enjoy an evening game drive through the park and then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 Day 11: Masai Mara.

 

Most animals are busiest in the early mornings when the weather is a bit cooler. You will enjoy a game drive through the park in the early morning followed by breakfast at 9:30 at the lodge.
After lunch, you will venture out on a game drive into the late afternoon. The reserve has an abundance of wildlife including, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion and cheetah alongside the migratory wildebeest and zebra. Leopards are frequently seen, endangered black rhino hide in the dense thickets and large rafts of hippo and enormous crocodiles are found alongside the Mara River banks. In the early evening, you will return to the Lodge for your evening stay.

Day 12: Masai Mara Nature Reserve to Nairobi

 

After breakfast and checkout, you will travel to Nairobi.
Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya. The name comes from the Maasai phrase Enkare Nairobi, which translates to “cool water”, in reference to the river which flows through the city. Nairobi like many cities has its charms some of which include a vibrant cultural life, fabulous places to eat and an exciting nightlife. You will spend the day in Nairobi and in the late afternoon, you will be taken to the airport for your flight home.
